A: The unfortunate truth is that price per SF can fluctuate wildly depending on about a million different variables. Luckily, these variables are usually within your control. Our team will be constantly working with you during design, site layout, preconstruction, and construction. This gives YOU full control on how YOU spend YOUR money. The way it should be.

Below is a list of KEY financial variables.

LEVEL OF FINISH SELECTIONS

Barndominiums and Custom Homes typically have very brief / vague drawings, specifications, or information put on paper. This means that there are tremendous amounts of interpretation, assumptions, and questions.

To help figure out real costs per square foot, we like to divide assumptions into 5 levels of finishes:

  1. COST EFFECIENT

  2. MODERATE

  3. MODERATE 2

  4. HIGH

  5. HIGH 2

SITE PREP / SITE LAYOUT

Utilities and infrastructure can cost dramatically different for a future home that is 30' off of the road on a flat lot, compared to a future home that is 750' back on a hilly lot. We are professionals and understand the impacts of site locations. Meeting early on at the property to discuss sitework will help set this budget early on.

LOCATION, TIMEFRAME, EXPECTATIONS

Logistics and scheduling will always be a variable.
